Great presentation about the promise and perils of managing a remote team. Even though Powered has a New York office, my team still (mostly) works remote - a holdover from our crayon days. A lot of the points in this presentation ring through - from the challenges of finding the right people to the tips for staying connected even when you can't pop into each other's offices. The reality is that for knowledge workers - you know, those of us that don't need to stand around an assembly line or put our hands on specialized, expensive machines (other than our laptops of course), there are fewer and fewer reasons to trek to a physical office anymore. This presentation nails it.
